Users familiar with sludge dryers know that proficient mastery of the sludge dryer operating process helps better control equipment operation and production, reduce failure rates and extend service life. Below is an introduction to the process flow diagram of the sludge dryer.
Components of Sludge Dryer
A sludge dryer consists of a hot air furnace, hopper, feeding device, dryer main body, discharging device, dust removal equipment, scrubber, induced draft fan, control cabinet and other components.
Process Flow of Sludge Dryer
The hot air furnace is where fuel burns to generate heat energy, which is supplied to the dryer main body. Common types include coal-fired hot air furnaces, gas-fired hot air furnaces, dual-fuel furnaces for coal and gas, dual-fuel furnaces for gas and oil, etc.
The hopper and feeding device convey wet materials into the dryer cylinder. The type of feeding device is selected according to the characteristics of wet materials.
The dryer main body is the place where heat exchange occurs between hot air and materials. The Zheneng Saving sludge dryer adopts a three-pass drying process, dividing the whole drying procedure into three stages.
Stage 1: Materials and hot air enter the inner cylinder of the dryer. Under the action of special crushing and dispersing devices inside the inner cylinder, materials are quickly broken up and separated to enhance contact with hot air, so most moisture in materials is removed rapidly. Afterwards, materials are transported into the middle cylinder of the dryer by special material guiding devices.
Stage 2: Counter-current and vortex drying is adopted in the middle cylinder to continuously dry materials, accelerating the migration and evaporation of internal moisture in sludge. Then materials move into the outer cylinder via the material guiding devices.
Stage 3: Cross-flow and reciprocating drying is applied in the outer cylinder. Wet materials move back and forth at a low speed while dry materials travel forward rapidly. Materials that meet the drying requirements are automatically discharged from the equipment.
The discharging device transports dried materials out of the cylinder for subsequent centralized packaging.
The dust removal device works together with the induced draft fan. Flue gas and dust generated during dryer operation are delivered by the induced draft fan to dust removal equipment for filtration, purification and dedusting. The treated gas will be discharged after meeting emission standards.
The scrubber is used to treat sulfur-containing gas and realize desulfurization and gas purification.
The control cabinet centrally controls the whole dryer system to ensure safe and stable equipment operation. During normal operation, manual or automatic switches can connect or disconnect circuits. In case of faults or abnormal operation, protective electrical components will cut off the circuit or trigger alarms.
The above describes the complete process flow of the sludge dryer, helping customers gain a more comprehensive understanding of our products.
