Thermal Insulation Measures of ZJN New Type Sludge Dryer

ZJN new type sludge dryer is designed for the characteristics of high-moisture, high-viscosity, solid waste and hazardous waste sludges. During the whole drying process, the thermal insulation effect of the drum plays a vital role in the normal operation of the entire drying production line, as well as in drying speed and heat utilization efficiency. So what thermal insulation measures has this equipment adopted? Let’s take a brief look.
 
1. Equipment Structure Traditional sludge dryers adopt a single-drum structure, with the cylinder made of one layer of steel plate and a length of more than ten meters. During drying, materials and hot air move continuously from one end to the other, resulting in continuous heat loss. To solve this problem, ZJN has developed the new Three-stage Multi-loop Dryer (with disintegrator). Its drum consists of three nested concentric cylinders, and its total length is only one-third of traditional equipment. The smaller size not only reduces the floor space but, more importantly, improves heat utilization and minimizes heat loss during drying.
 
2. Enhanced Heat Control Over-drying of materials causes extra heat loss. To avoid this, two approaches are adopted: First, control the moisture content of materials before feeding by pre-dehydration, keeping it within a reasonable range. Second, strengthen heat management and distribution inside the drum for more efficient heat use. ZJN new type sludge dryer divides the whole drying process into three stages: concurrent flow drying, countercurrent flow drying, and reciprocating drying. In each stage, parameters such as air volume, temperature and airflow direction can be adjusted according to the sludge moisture content, realizing a matching supply: high-level for high moisture, medium-level for medium moisture, low-level for low moisture. This ensures full heat utilization, reduces heat loss, and improves overall thermal insulation performance.
